Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze met with Marija Buric, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, in Strasbourg. Delegation Head Irakli Chikovani and Tamar Taliashvili, Ambassador of Georgia to the Council of Europe attended the meeting together with the head of the ruling party.
At the meeting, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe thanked the Georgian delegation for its active work. The discussion touched on the importance of the Council of Europe’s support for Georgia. Marija Buric stressed Georgia’s significant progress in the area of reforms and noted that the Council of Europe fully supports Georgia in the process of implementing the 12-point plan.
During the meeting, Irakli Kobakhidze and Marija Buric also discussed the political situation in the region.
