Irakli Kobakhidze, chairman of the Georgian Dream party, met with Lars Klingbeil, co-chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Germany.
During the meeting, they discussed Germany’s role and support in the process of Georgia’s EU integration and deepening mutual cooperation.
“A very friendly and productive meeting was held with Lars Klingbeil, chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Germany. We discussed cooperation between the parties as well as the importance of Germany’s support. It was noted during the meeting that Germany supports our European integration and that everything will be done to ensure that we are successful on this path. Deepening party cooperation between our party and the Social Democratic Party of Germany is very important to us; this will facilitate the further deepening of relations between the two countries,” Irakli Kobakhidze stated.
The meeting was attended by members of the Georgian Dream delegation: Maka Botchorishvili, chairwoman of the Parliament’s European Integration Committee, Irakli Chikovani, deputy chairman of the Georgian Dream faction, and Georgian Ambassador to Germany Levan Izoria.
